New payment solutions to enhance Digital Experience for Abu Dhabi Government Services were introduced to “Abu Dhabi Pay”

‘Abu Dhabi Pay’ becomes the first government platform in the UAE to offer ‘Samsung Pay’ as a web checkout option to pay for government fees

The Department of Government Support represented by Abu Dhabi Digital Authority (ADDA), in collaboration with the First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) and Magnati has introduced new payment solutions that enhance the digital experience for Abu Dhabi Government services.

ADDA and Magnati, a fully owned subsidiary of FAB, introduced ‘Samsung Pay’ and ‘Pay-by Link’ to the ‘Abu Dhabi Pay’ digital payment platform. Meanwhile, ADDA and FAB launched the FAB Abu Dhabi Pay Cashback Credit Card, which provides customers with exclusive benefits on ‘Abu Dhabi Pay’ transactions. The payment solutions advance ‘Abu Dhabi Pay’s’ commitment to providing seamless and efficient digital experiences for consumers.

‘Abu Dhabi Pay’ is the first government platform in the UAE to offer ‘Samsung Pay’, a mobile payments service that enables users with a Samsung device to use the web checkout option of the digital wallet application to pay for all government transactions through the Abu Dhabi Government services ecosystem, TAMM.

With ‘Samsung Pay’, users will not be required to enter their card details when completing payments on ‘Abu Dhabi Pay’ and the TAMM ecosystem through the mobile app or website. Instead, they can use their PIN or fingerprint to validate their identity and complete all payments following a notification to the users’ registered ‘Samsung Pay’ email address. Secure, quick and easy-to-use, ‘Samsung Pay’ has become a popular method around the world for electronic payments.

‘Abu Dhabi Pay’ is also introducing ‘Pay-by Link’, a new feature for the government’s Proactive Services. This feature can be used by government entities when logging into the Abu Dhabi Government portal to create payment links and providing them to end customers. Abu Dhabi Government entities can either send the links by email or by SMS generated by ‘Abu Dhabi Pay’.

The FAB Abu Dhabi Pay Cashback Credit Card offers customers an enhanced experience with ‘Abu Dhabi Pay’. Customers can access exclusive benefits including 12% cashback on ‘Abu Dhabi Pay’ transactions and favorable cashback rates on utility and fuel spending.

The introduction of ‘Samsung Pay’ and Pay-by Link’ along with the Abu Dhabi Pay Cashback Credit Card, aligns with the Abu Dhabi Government’s objectives to provide more ease and convenience when completing digital services, helping save time and enriching people’s lives. It will also encourage customers to conduct more digital transactions, reducing the need for cash and setting in motion a shift towards digital payment methods in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

Her Excellency Aisha Ibrahim Al Marzooqi Executive Director of Government Services Sector at Abu Dhabi Digital Authority said: “ADDA’s mission is to drive digital transformation in the Abu Dhabi Emirate, and is a true reflection of the wise leadership’s vision to use digital technology to enrich the community, ensuring consumer protection through innovation and advanced and secure digital solutions, pro-actively enhancing security and resilient mechanisms. These are the key pillars in our move to a cashless society and by partnering with FAB and Magnati, we can create the necessary infrastructure, customized solutions, hassle-free procedures and many other value-added services for our customers, such as saving time and cost while improving the customer experience and building efficiency in service delivery.
