NEOPAY, the UAE’s digital payments enabler, announced the launch of Unified Payments Interface (UPI) acceptance for online bookings at At the Top, Burj Khalifa, in partnership with NPCI International Payments Limited (NIPL) and Emaar Entertainment. The milestone marks the first UAE attraction to implement UPI for e-commerce transactions, enabling Indian visitors to book experiences at the world’s tallest building through its official website using their preferred payment method.
The launch represents a significant expansion of NEOPAY’s partnership with NIPL. Since introducing QR-based UPI merchant payments in the UAE in 2022, the collaboration has enabled Indian consumers to make seamless in-store transactions across a growing merchant network. The latest rollout extends that convenience to e-commerce, allowing visitors to complete purchases online before arriving in the UAE through a payment method that is secure, familiar and trusted by millions.
As one of the world’s most recognised landmarks and among Dubai’s most visited attractions, At the Top, Burj Khalifa attracts millions of visitors annually, including a substantial number from India. Through this integration, visitors can now use UPI to purchase tickets and experiences online, creating a frictionless digital journey from trip planning to arrival.
The introduction of UPI for online bookings reflects the growing demand for seamless cross-border payment experiences. This initiative strengthens the digital payment bridge between India and the UAE while helping merchants better serve one of the country’s largest and most digitally engaged visitor segments.
Vibhor Mundhada, CEO of NEOPAY, said:
“At NEOPAY, our focus is on simplifying commerce and creating seamless payment experiences for merchants and consumers alike. The launch of UPI acceptance for online bookings at ‘At the Top, Burj Khalifa’ represents a landmark moment in that journey.
